Born in Bukedea District, Eastern Uganda to parents Okiring John Patrick (RIP) of Itesotrnorigin and Alemo Immaculate Alado (RIP) of Kumam Origin, Okiring Millan Edward alsornknown by his stage name Edward Prince is a Ugandan Urban Contemporary Gospel singer,rnrecording artist and songwriter known for his song “Yesu Kitimoi Isio” translated as “JesusrnForgive Us”. He is the last born of four children but he does not share a father with hisrnother three siblings.rnrnHe began his early education in Lwala, Kaberamaido district while staying with hisrngrandmother. He completed his PLE in Mukura primary school in Asuret, Soroti and laterrnjoined St. Stephen Secondary School for his O’level and continued to Teso CollegernAloet(TCA) for his A’level where he did PEM/ICT while being sponsored by his uncle.rnWhile at school, Prince found himself partaking in MDD and various performances whichrnhelped him discover his singing abilities, his passion for music began while still a little boyrnin P.5.rnrnIn 2016, Edward joined Kyambogo University to pursue BSc in TelecommunicationrnEngineering, however he didn’t complete his course due to financial constraints andrnillness. While staying at home he yielded to the higher calling to propagate the gospel ofrnJesus Christ through writing and singing in the urban contemporary gospel genre.rnHe later on joined Global Institute in 2018 on bursary where he’s pursuing a diploma inrnInformation Technology (IT). However, Prince sings under Aibuses Music (Glorious Music)rnwhich he started while still at college. He is inspired by Frank Edwards a gospel singerrnfrom Nigeria, and several Ugandan local gospel musicians like Levixone and Exodus.
